- Back/neck pain
- Traumatic injuries
- Sports injuries
- Balance deficiencies
- Stroke rehabilitation
Occupational therapy services are available for those who have had a decline in their ability to perform activities of daily living, such as:
Shoulder and hand therapy
Therapeutic services are also available for the treatment of acute or chronic injuries of the shoulders or hands. Interventions included in this treatment are:
- Hands-on physical treatments
- Fabrication of hand splints
- Assessment for durable medical equipment
- Provision of adaptive equipment, such as modified utensils
A certified speech-language pathologist provides speech therapy designed to help patients with deficits in speech, language, cognition and/or swallowing.
In conjunction with our radiology department, we offer videofluoroscopic swallow studies, in which patients intake a small amount of barium, and X-rays are taken of their upper digestive systems. This allows us to see how the throat and esophagus react when a patient swallows food.
